Teacher Training Intensive:
From the Ground Up: The Blueprint Poses
If we understand a few key poses in each pose group, we can approach any of the more challenging poses with confidence and grace. With her strong, clear and detailed approach, Maty will give us the experience of what she calls blueprint poses. After learning their actions, they can become building blocks, and from them you will be able to create your own asanas and pose variations. Each of the four sessions will explore the blueprint poses in an asana category: standing poses, inversions, backbends, and forward bends and twists.
The classes will emphasize correct alignment working appropriately at your level, and we will stop to observe and remedy common problems.
Topics included will be:
Asana Practice
Key Universal Understanding of "Blue Print Poses"
Reading Bodies
Hands On Adjustments
Dealing with common Injuries
This training is designed for teachers and practitioners who wish to deepen their understanding of Asana practice. There might be some small changes in the program, but they will be made before the end of this year.
Mysore Practice: One on One
Ashtanga Yoga is a classical method employing a gradual systematic approach to learning and challenging yourself. Working at your own pace, with teacher supervision, the Mysore room is engaging and dynamic. Maty Ezraty is known for her unique approach to the Mysore classes. She works to help each student find their way with the practice and is attentive to the correct alignment of the poses. She uses props when needed to facilitate greater understanding. She also works with common injuries.
It is recommended that students are familiar with the order of the postures.
